Layer by layer - longest build story in history but near indestructible.

That's the problem... How many layers of glass and veneer will result in a stable construction ??
I want the "wings" to be about 4 mm thick and the body to be a maximum of 8 mm, and that's before I use an XPS deck insert and EVA deck skin.
It'll probably take me six months to finish this but Ive got other surfcraft builds going on to keep me busy while it progresses.

Brett,
Six months, now that's dedication. It's a toss up whether to try riding it before you get to 8mm. Wouldn't want to break it.
Other boards going on - I don't believe it.

It's probably easier to say that some people have casual interest in design,
some have a mild hobby involving shaping and riding surfcraft,
Whilst others have a dedicated perversion that consumes their every thought, night and day, dreams, musing and rumination.
Doesn't mean that they're good at what they do,no, just that there's a irresistible urge to do what they can't not do.
I wish I'd focussed on share trading instead !

Brett,
I don't think there is any treatment for this. It is a broad ranging affliction - I was reading your latest Swaylocks fin creation. Nothing like a bit of versatility.
Share trading - many a ship sunk there.

True about the share trading. it would be nice to be obsessive about something that makes money tho....

Insane Gold Coast crowds -> functional wave pool or artificial reef. Many have tried and not succeeded.
