Anyone know anything about Brosimum utile. Other Common Names: Sande, Amapa doce, Avichuri, Caucho macho, Cow tree, Mastate, Palo de vaca

HomeDepot has a "project panel" 2 pack of 3/4" X 1/4 sheet plywood made from it for $30. Strength, water resistance, etc vs standard pine or whatever plywood usually made of? They do have birch plywood full sheet 3/4" for $45.

Having mad idea of making Malama Kai copy, glue on collar up front so as to get enough rocker and automatically spooned deck though maybe grind more out of the deck in addition.

Could also just go w/ single sheet of 3/4" and there'd be enough for the rolled bottom at least, just a lot less rocker up front

Plenty strong, with the right coatings it'll be fine. Better than birch.
It's called cow tree because the sap is edible and tastes like milk. :geek:
