Coincident with Wegener's post, check out The Surfer's Journal, vol 07 no 04, pp84-87, where Greenough moves away from wood and twin fins to fiberglass/foam and a single fin, and eventually to the infamous Velo. Greenough also mentions how he started out with a twin fin, kept placing the fins closer and closer together and that eventually they merged into one flexible fin.

It would be interesting to see the Wegener board in profile. The lines of the red railed Greenough board really catch the eye. Anyone know the dimensions?

Every board I've seen and all I've read; GG's Velo's were all very close to 5' X 22"

Except for some of the later edge boards got narrower by a fair bit...I think

Velos,
like those in the photo Rod posted were 22"..
But yes, the later edge boards were somewhat narrower, but still using the same basic template........
