I'm interested in suggestions regarding North American woods for a paipo. Besides cedar, any light weight:strong woods like paulownia or other suggestions?

Kiln dried redwood is light but very expensive. White pine might be good. Paulowinia wood is grown in the US.

I have had great luck with 1'' white pine. Its cheap, it glues up easily with titebond II, and its right there on the Home Depot shelf.
