here is a board I just finished. I made it out of some shelving I found (pine)I call it sliver it is 3" at the nose and 12" at the tail 45" long 3/8" thick kind of like a long hand board :)

That could almost be a water ski Mike!
Paipo surfer in repose,
Nose on the nose,
No grunting he-man pose.
See how fast he goes!
